Michael Memminger (born 1971 in munich)

Raised between two rivers in the south of Bavaria I was soon confronted with the element water.The passion of my father Hans Memminger who has run many first river ascents as a documentation filmer and extreme whitewater kajaker and finished the northwest-passage as first man using his own power did leave tracks on me. I am really happy that I was allowed to join him on some of his adventures as photographer.

The close connection to nature and specially to the element water was really infected by him. Later I got more and more interested of making music and I absolved the education for soundmassage with gongs and singing bowls by Peter Hess. That was the time when I first saw how water reacts when it comes in vibration by music. To see this and to know that a human being consists to about 75% out of water made me really respectful of the combination of sound and water.

Since 1992 my profession is to work as photographer and webdesigner. Beside this I was always very interested in doing arts like sculpturing and I spent years studying astrology. Now it all comes together with my passion for the watersoundimages. It is really fascinating to explore this miracle.
